Landlords want to know that the rent will be paid, and that you will take care of the unit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be on time or early for the viewing. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try to make a good first impression; think of it like a job interview. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always be polite and courteous.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be conscious of how much information about your personal life you are providing. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm the rent and what utilities are included; if utilities are not included, ask the landlord for an estimate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask about laundry facilities, parking, pet policy, maintenance, and any other questions you have. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you like the apartment, be sure to tell the landlord you are serious about it; ask for an application or inquire about the application process. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thank the landlord for their time. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What to Bring:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Positive references (ask your references in advance if you can use them) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Landlord references (if you don\u2019t have any, be prepared to explain why not)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employment or income verification <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photo ID<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring a positive attitude; don\u2019t complain about a previous landlord or boss <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>After the Viewing:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fill out the application and provide it to the landlord as soon as possible.
